The Philia Sophia Sketchbook began as an experiment in Active Imagination—a creative practice in which I set aside conscious planning and allowed images to emerge directly from the unconscious mind. Through hundreds of drawings, I explored mythology, symbolism, dreams, spirituality, and the hidden structures of the human imagination. Many of these works were originally paired with lectures and audio recordings from thinkers such as Terence McKenna, creating a visual meditation on consciousness and meaning.
Over time, recurring characters, symbols, and narratives began to reveal themselves, gradually forming the foundation of the mythological world that would later become The Giants of Enoch. This collection represents the earliest stages of that journey: a visual record of discovery, exploration, and the search for wisdom through imagination.
All were created by hand using ink and alcohol markers on sketchbook paper.
